We turn clay to make a vessel, but it is on the space where there is nothing that the utility of the vessel depends. We pierce doors and windows to make a house, and it is on these spaces where there is nothing that the utility of the house depends. Therefore, just as we take advantage of what is, we should recognize the utility of what is not. (Laozi)

Thank you, everyone, for your amazing participation and contributions to the success of the first Design Thinking unConference in Vancouver.

That includes our sponsors, who not only contributed financially and in-kind, but also attended the event. One of the most valuable experiences for us was having such an egalitarian environment, where students and seasoned experts engaged in learning, sharing and sparking new connections. It was like the best of improv or a wonderful jazz festival-talented people ‘riffing’ off each other’s contributions. Awesomeness that serves to ignite as many different outcomes as there are attendees.
